What’s Your Medicine?
Wood Street Healing Clinic
Date: Saturday, September 26, 2020
Time: 3-8pm
Overview
The What’s Your Medicine? event will bring our community together to provide a day of relief, strength, and wellness for the folks residing in the Wood Street encampments. This event will provide a foundation for ushering in myriads of healing modalities, arts, food, and music produced by different community partners and the Wood Street encampment residents.
We are calling on all healers to help us provide various modalities of healing from bodywork to acupuncture, nutritional counseling, health coaching, herbalism, Ayurveda, Sound healing, art therapy, spiritual guidance, curanderismo, chiropractics.
We will implement land activation by installing a Garden boxes , fire pit , benches, mandala community rituals and more.
The Wood Street Encampment is one of the largest communities of unhoused / internally displaced peoples throughout the west coast. The marginalized residents lack access to food and nutrition and have been left with limited and sporadic support.
Currently EFAM and a small group of organizations are providing what city and local governments have failed to provide but the Wood Street residents deserve more.
